Through the use of this iPad, I will be able to provide additional motivational resources for my students to practice the reading skills that they need to catch up to their grade level peers. There are so many quality reading apps available that will provide the specific guided practice that they need in comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, and phonics skills. I need an iPad, however, to be able to be able to provide these resources to my students. I work with many reluctant readers who are several grade levels behind their peers and often lack the motivation needed to help them improve. In addition, the iPad will help me more effectively serve my students in that I can reach a variety of learners with different needs at the same time. Several students can work together on the Ipad while I check in with other students on individual needs.
