Students benefit from an organized teacher and a classroom with supplies at their fingertips. Some don't realize that these items are often purchased out of teacher's pockets. With these items, I will organize student plans, organize the classroom, and provide the items they need for day-to-day life in the classroom! The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in math. Using the workshop model in math, students come to the rug with whiteboards for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. In order for my students to be successful learners, they need basic school supplies. Not all parents can afford to purchase the supplies that their children need. I try to supply them as much as I can but this can get very costly, especially on a teachers salary. These basic supplies will help students engage themselves in learning.
