Adding soft seats, beanbags, floor seats and ottomans will give us the option of removing most desks and providing a comfortable, relaxing learning environment for my kindergarten class. This project will give them a choice in where they want to sit and learn each day. I feel giving them a choice will enhance their learning. I do notice more smiles and collaboration when they are out of their desks which are confining them to a space so this project will enhance their communication and learning. They can sit with legs out, lay back while reading to self or with a partner and have a cushion seat while working with math manipulatives.

About my class
