I provide speech and language therapy for 15 low income 3 and 4-year-olds with communication impairments. My students attend a school in a low income district and most live in unsafe areas prone to violence. Many of my students' families are unable to provide them with the tools they need to prepare them for a better future. Our school has a tight budget and does not allow for classroom material purchases, which are essential for student success. My students love coming to school every day and always appreciate when new materials are introduced in the classroom.
