My students need a way to access current events in a manner that is developmentally comfortable for them. Time for Kids is a perfectly crafted magazine accompanied with resources to ensure that students are able to find joy and rigor in their academics. According to Educational Testing Service, students with more access to different types of text show higher proficiency in reading. With consistent, quality material I believe my students would find a passion in worldly issues and fuel their drive to learn. Our school encourages students to think globally with the vision statement of "Explore the world, be the change." Students can find inspiration through reading activities and response to interesting material in the magazine. Time for Kids will allow the students to work collaboratively and discuss things that are truly meaningful in today's society.
