I am the lucky ELA and Social Studies teacher of a phenomenal group of fourth graders at Roberts Elementary in Tallahassee, Florida. My classroom runs on love, laughter, and music (used both for transitions and instruction), with an emphasis on student engagement. My students learn in a variety of styles and settings, whether they are in a small group rotation, practicing collaboratively with a partner, or reflecting independently on their progress toward a learning goal. Movement and flexible seating options are encouraged, and students actively participate in our class call and responses.
