One area my students struggle with is their need and want to move all of the time! I have a few wobble stools in my classroom now and we have a rotation for those that wish to use them. The focus in these students when they are on the wobble stool and their ability to sit a little longer than those in regular chairs is most definitely noticeable! I try my best to provide brain breaks at each transition but sometimes just those are not enough! Think about a 6 or 7 year old sitting at a desk or even the couch for that matter. How long do those little kiddos last? Not very long is my opinion. Wobble stools allow for my students to be active even while working. If I could provide each of my students with a wobble stool, I know classroom success would grow even more!
