By having a horseshoe table and small easel, teaching reading strategies and writing will benefit the students. As English Language Learners, many of them need the small group instruction to continue enriching their learning. By having a horseshoe table, I will be able to work with several students at once. But I will also be able to listen to individuals as they practice reading. My students also need a listening center to further help with their language acquisition abilities. By having a listening center, they will be fully engaged and immersed in English literacy. Students will be able to work in small groups at the listening center while I work with other students with reading and writing.
