A sensory table and tools will provide a great service to my students developmental needs. Sensory play improves engagement and learning through a multi-modality approach. Instead of learning new vocabulary through paper and pencil work, students learn through experience. Sensory play and activities use all of your senses, resulting in the children being more engaged. Sensory activities foster exploration and encourage children to use scientific processes while they play and explore. Sensory play demands the use of fine motor skills because children must use their hands to interact. This donation will meet a need and make a great gift to my students.
