A laggy computer is no way to teach virtually. My Special Education students need continuity, engagement, and a multisensory approach to schoolwork. How can I accomplish any of that with a computer that lags and freezes all the time? There are many resources that are available to me that I would love to share with my students. Boom cards, Jamboard, and interactive books are just some to name a few. Unfortunately, I can't make use of them, as my laptop will often freeze or take too long to load. Then I have to decide whether to wait and risk losing their attention or move on and try to improvise. This is a daily struggle that interrupts the flow of the lesson and our continuity and engagement. Every minute of virtual learning is precious, as their attention is limited. Please help me provide a seamless experience for the students that need it most!
