Most students applying to competitive four year colleges must take either the SAT or AP exam. This score is often determinant as to whether or not they get into their dream college. The SAT allows the use of graphing calculators on one part of their math exam. Unfortunately many of our low income students can't afford these calculators which puts them at a significant disadvantage. This project will allow us to purchase 10 of these calculators to loan out to these low income students when they take their SAT exams. This will help them improve their SAT scores and increase their chances of attending their dream college.
