I am requesting books for my classroom library and leveled reader books for guided reading groups. I teach 1st grade, but many of my students are reading at a beginning of the year Kindergarten level. I do not have enough books in my classroom library for all of my students' needs Having a well-stocked, leveled classroom library will allow my students to practice reading independently, which will help improve their reading levels. The leveled readers will allow me to pull guided reading groups and work with them on the skills they need so they can be successful now and in the future.
