Four year olds learn best through hands-on experiences that are relevant to their daily lives. The puzzles, games, dolls and art supplies will make learning fun. When students are engaged in these hands-on learning experiences, they will grow in the academic areas of literacy, math, the arts and science. The teachers in the school are committed to implementing new reading strategies that support common language across all grade levels. I am hoping to have a projector screen in our prekindergarten classroom to use to support our teaching in the area of literacy. We know that prekindergarten provides the foundational literacy skills needed to meet grade level standards.
