Today's students are different than students of the past. Therefore, today's classroom needs to evolve to meet the needs of students. Kids today are growing up in front of a screen. As a teacher, I have to find ways to meet the sensory needs of the kids in my care. I feel the best way to reach these needs of my students is to give them flexible seating options! We are requesting a floor table, two tree seats, two ball seats and five soft seats. Sitting on things like stools, floor pillows, and balance balls allows students the opportunity to move freely which in turn makes their brains more capable of focusing on their schoolwork. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
