Being able to give them books to expand their knowledge on the alphabet and everyday life situations would start the foundation of "tools" in which they are going to use for the rest of their lives. These books will help my children be able to relate to the ABC books to items they know and interact with on a daily basis. Reading and looking at the pictures the children will be able to remember the name of the letters and what things start with that letter. My class has a love for books as well as being eager to learn from many different experiences they come in contact with at school. Doing so will help shape them for the rest of their life on skills they will forever use. Being able to read these books in the class allows for the children to connect to the pictures as well as start trying to read the book for themselves or peers by looking at the pictures and pulling knowledge of the letters. The art supplies such as pipe cleaners, stencils, dot markers and brushes, also allows for the children to show what they have learned from the books by being hands on. The molding clay is for making 3D art to express different letter and letter sounds from letters we are learning.
