My kindergarten classroom is very diverse and I am constantly working on different ways to differentiate my instruction to target all of my students. Every day I make time for 30 minutes of my day to work with my students in small groups. I have 22 students and I have 3 groups. I divide my students into three groups and work very diligently with each group. I rotate my stations every day working with one group each day. I feel that by having 2 ipads in my classroom in addition to the two computers I have in my classroom I would be able to use technology as its own station. The use of technology has become an effective strategy that teachers should implement in their classroom to continue to engage and motivate students to learn. Not only will I be utilizing technology for reading and language arts but I will also have students go on the iPads to enrich their math and science skills. Our classroom utilizes a program called science4us that is compatible on the iPad. By including an iPad in the different classroom centers I will be encouraging my students to expand their cognitive ability by approaching the different content more confidently. By donating to this project you are contributing to the success rate of our future. These students can gain so much more through the use of an iPad. They will be able to work together on programs such as CODE.org, science4us, and tenmarks. These programs can strengthen their content knowledge immensely.
