A horseshoe table will give me the ability to work with students in small groups and focus on specific areas that they need help with. I meet with students during math class rotations as well as small reading groups during Response to Intervention. It is often difficult to hear students when we sit around a rectangle table. Meeting in small groups will allow me the opportunity to meet each students individual needs and help struggling students in a smaller setting. It will allow for more hands on activities and learning opportunities to enhance student learning. Another benefit of these tables would be the use of the whiteboard surface. This would help create more space on the table and make all subjects more engaging! Examples and guided practice could be done right on the table instead of on mini whiteboards.
