The algebra 1 curriculum and 8th-grade pre-algebra curriculum requires students to be able to graph linear equations, functions, etc. By having access to the TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculators, students will have an additional resource that will allow them to visually see how lines are graphed and be able to have a hands-on approach to their learning. There are many students who cannot financially afford having one of these technology equipment; therefore, by having a class-set of the TI-84 Plus Graphing Calculators, students will be afforded the same learning opportunities as students who do have their own devices. This device will also allow students to take ownership of their learning as well as enter the world of technology with confidence and an additional thirst for learning. This device will also accommodate all types of learners, including visual learners, auditory learners, and kinesthetic learners. What an awesome learning tool to embrace and model learning in a informative and fun method.
