Many students at the middle school level are experiencing many changes physically, emotionally, and mentally. The third module of our curriculum focuses on identity and transformation. Students will delve into content about gender roles and stereotypes. The book Pygmalion is about a young woman who lacks identity and transforms over the course of the book. As a final assessment, the students will investigate media advertisements and then design their own. By the end of the module, students will have a better understanding of how society tries to define individuals and how individuals define themselves. Having the physical copy of these books and the audio book will ensure that all students are able to learn in a manner that best fits their needs.
