Hey! My name is Ms.O and I am the new dance teacher in Maplewood Middle School. As a new dance teacher, it's been a little hard getting class materials, as I do not have an actual classroom.I like to think my dance class is a traveling dance circus and my students hop aboard for the ride. Middle school is always difficult and crucial; mentally and physically in a student's life. In my classroom, I train them physically by using dance as not only a fun and entertaining activity ,but an experience to investigate how their bodies move through space and time. Mentally, I tackle things like insecurities, boundaries and behaviors. Dance can be an amazing self-expressing physical art, but I need tools to help me achieve that. Help me create a positive and useful environment for my students.
