Wiggle Bots expose our students to the engineering and design process. Once a week students work in a group of 4-6 for 30 minutes on their Wiggle Bot. They have one week of exploration, the following week they begin their designs, and week three is testing and evaluating. Having 10 wiggle bots allots for 2 students per group for two classrooms. Our hope is to have a " Battle of the Bots" where the bots face off! Students have to assess and evaluate their creations, which encourages higher level thinking! Furthermore, research shows that “student motivation and quality of learning increase when they collaborate*. These bots are an investment for the rest of the school year and will be rotated into our weekly STEM stations. In addition, we will use the bots for our early finishers and enrichment in the classroom. Thanks for considering to fund our project.
