My students love to be apart of small group book clubs. Unfortunately the amount of quality books that I have access to is limited. The Cam Jansen novels will be used during small group book club to support reading instruction and help further promote a love of reading. My students will have access to a variety of quality informational text with a Scholastic News subscription. Students will be able to identify text features from the materials and work to identify the main idea of articles. Additionally, Scholastic News will be a great resource to support our classroom's "Current Events Fridays" .
