Drones are a new technology that have and will continue to have a huge impact on society. Using drones as a means to introduce and teach students computer science will not only be exciting and engaging, but it will also help prepare students for using and managing this technology in the future. Students will learn to operate and program the drones autonomously using a basic programing language, and as a capstone they will add sensors to the drone to retrieve data such as temperature and sense color. These applications are being used in industries such as agriculture. Students will prepare for a competition using computation thinking.
