I am lucky enough to work in a multi-age classroom where I am able to teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students all in one classroom. I have 118 student on my roster but see only a fourth of them for each class. I teach on a three year cycle and integrate our social studies and science themes into our reading class. I try to have novels that directly correspond with the topics the students are covering in the other classes to make their experience reading so much more. I love having the students for three years in that I am able to really understand them, their families, their passions, and how they best learn. I feel that when my students graduate in 8th grade, that I really have watched a student evolve, mature, and grow. I love my job and my students! I hope you may be willing to help me bring more of the world to them through our project.
