This equipment will help boost my students' confidence by helping them use sports as a medium to prove that they are successful at anything they put their mind to. These materials will help to motivate my student athletes both in the classroom and on the court. Our students use sports to disconnect from the stress of the day and to release energy. Studies show that sports help motivate children to excel in the classroom. Unfortunately, our school was greatly affected by Hurricane Irma. Equipment was ruined and the school grounds were covered in debris. We are slowly but surely recovering but our sports program is in need of basketball equipment. Your donations will help bring the sports spirit back to Somerset Academy!
