Many of my students just need to wiggle. These chairs that I am asking for, allow students to wiggle and wobble and move about without being a distraction and without risking their safety. Some students also struggle with sensory regulation; these chairs allow for vestibular sensory input which allows them to focus on the lesson or task instead of seeking that input. While the reason may vary, the need is the same: students need to move. It’s my goal to make my room as welcoming and comfortable as possible; a place where my students feel safe to make mistakes and grow. These chairs help me achieve this goal by allowing them that movement they are seeking without fear of getting in trouble or falling out of their chairs.
