This will be my third year implementing flexible seating in my classroom. I have had floor cushions, sofas, stools, yoga balls, stadium chairs, saucer chairs, butterfly chairs, rocking chairs... you name it! Flexible seating has given my students the opportunity to make choices, created a more comfortable learning environment, and encouraged students to be more engaged. Students do their best learning when they are comfortable. An uncomfortable student is a distracted and unproductive student. Comfortable students are calm, focused, and productive. More wobble chairs will allow students to bounce, twist, lean, fidget, wobble, roll, stand, kneel, and sit to suit their needs.
