My 4th grade students are all reading at various levels. In order to push my readers to achieve, I need guided reading books at each level to promote good reading. I meet with groups every other day and we read books at their level together as a group. Then we discuss the pages or chapters read. We focus on phonics, vocabulary, comprehension and writing about reading. Students love to read with me, but we are lacking books at their level that are interesting to them. Our books are very old and outdated and falling apart! Lets build a love of books and reading in our future generations.
