This year, co-teaching, I am responsible for a lot more students staying organized by using folders for each subject and having enough supplies for each student to have their own personal set of art supplies to use for their classwork. It takes the burden off of our families with having to purchase these items when their money may need to be used for something else their family needs. By being able to gift them folders, crayons, pencils and glue to make their work easier to organize and more special when they know it is from someone else, they will continue to work hard. A little appreciation goes a long way to students and my students work so hard to meet the expectation of a rigorous classroom.
