Our classroom is a kid centered room. We have adopted the “flexible seating” approach. Flexible seating gives students a chance to pick where they would like to learn. We all know that being still is a challenge for kids. Research has shown that moving can help in learning. The soft seats with backs will allow kids to rock back and forth while learning. This is not a safe option in a regular school chair. This project will allow me to provide another seating option to help the kids learn. They can be comfortable and squirmy while they are actively learning!
