Many of my students are beginning readers and in order for them to become stronger, more independent readers they need access to more books. Reading books at their independent reading level is important for them to develop confidence and fluency skills. Most of my students are English Language Learners and are learning to read along with learning the language. Having the appropriate resources in order to help them become successful readers is crucial to their learning development. Getting these books for my classroom will help them develop their vocabulary and understanding of the English language. They will also give them a variety of texts to engage and interest them across genres.

About my class
