The materials I requested will help my special education students who have challenges learning to read and write. The text highlighters are particularly useful for students with dyslexia. I will be able to use the materials in my small reading groups to assist in teaching them reading and writing strategies. These highlighters help the students track their reading and can stop letters from "jumping off the page" which is what students with dyslexia tend to see when reading. The dry erase materials are useful in giving students opportunities for responses in place of verbal responses. It also helps check all students for understanding. The sentence building box helps students with writing and comprehension of text by helping them sequence pictures. Then they are able to write what they see in the photos.
