We refer to our students as scholars because scholars are seekers of knowledge...it is important to me that my classroom promotes this excitement for learning! Two other kindergarten classrooms will regularly interact with these project items. This means that our entire grade level of K classes will benefit. Hooray! A new educational and inspirational carpet area for mini lessons and class meetings is essential. 5 and 6 years old benefit from flexible seating options, and a class set of wiggle chairs and cushions will support them with staying focused while still being able to move. My kindergarten friends also need to create real world connections in order to develop their sense of self. I am asking for some new center areas to promote team work during our play based learning time.
