The traditional classroom setting and seating makes an already challenging situation, even more so for my students. The alternative seating option will provide an an option for some of my students who could really benefit from spaces in the room that offer a calm and safe environment to have that opportunity. The students in our room have some unique and challenging needs that we work hard to meet every day. The timer and handwriting activity will benefit some of my students who are learning some of the most basic school skills. Understanding turn-taking and completing one task before moving on to something else are important life-skills, that the timer will assist with. The prewriting magnetic board will help my students who are still learning to write, understand some of the most basic concepts of writing.
