Helen Street School is located in the Southern part of Hamden, CT. We are a Title 1 school with approximately 320 K-6 students. As a Kindergarten teacher in a Title 1 school, many of my 17 students come from underprivileged homes. For many of them, this is their first interaction with story books and the wonderful characters that story books contain. I can't wait to give them the opportunity to fall in love with these classic emergent story books. With your help and donations my students will be able to travel, explore and live the adventures of the many characters they will be meeting in these books.
