Due to being displaced because of the flooding caused by Harvey, my students don’t have access to a computer lab, in addition many also lost their belongings which also includes a computer. In today’s world technology has become a necessary tool in helping kids learn which is why I am requesting for the HP Stream laptops. When teaching math, I like to teach my kids to use Microsoft Excel to create graphs from data collection, which will allow my students to see a visual representation of the collected data. Microsoft Publisher is a great tool that allows my kids to create newsletters that will help them with their reading and writing skills. Microsoft Power Point is a fun tool that allows my kids to apply reading and writing skill but also gives them the freedom to show their creativity. Outside of the tools listed below, there are many applications that students will have access to. Razkids an application that is used for reading. Internet is great research tool if used correctly, which is why I teach my kids the proper way to do research in the internet. As technology becomes more integral in our daily and classroom life, it’s very important to make it part of teaching.
