To cultivate independence, choice and a love of reading, I am asking for "Help Yourself Book Bins" to organize our class library by reading level and by interest. Most of our book bins are breaking and need to be replaced. During literacy centers students have “read to self” time, in an effort to incorporate flexible seating during this time, I am requesting a set of 6 “Soft Seats” for students to use as they learn throughout the classroom. Finally, I have a variety of math manipulatives including unifix cubes, pattern blocks, marbles, dominos etc. Our manipulative bins are in need of replacement, the use of the “Clear view Storage Boxes and Lids” with the locking lids. With these new storage boxes, students will have more independence when using math tools and more student appeal and interest as each will be visible.
