The use of whiteboards in my class is an effective way for students to practice writing their letters and sight words. Magnetic whiteboards would make it possible for them to do individual word work with magnetic letters in a manageable way. My students see themselves as writers and love having varied opportunities to write throughout the day. The organized writing center along with individual magnetic whiteboards would allow my students easy access to writing on a daily basis. I would make the writing center one of my daily rotations during academic rotations. The magnetic sentence strips would provide a model of writing that they could copy by placing them on their individual whiteboard.
