In a 21st century classroom, it's all about critical thinking, communication, creativity. and collaboration. With the simple addition of these digital cameras to our classroom, my students will have the opportunity to extend their learning in these four areas at the same time. My students will use these digital cameras in every content area from language arts to math to physical education. Some of the ways these cameras will be used are to capture quadrilaterals found in nature, document the phases of the moon or the growth of a plant, or capture student tableaus that retell a story we have read in class, just to name a few. Teaching the whole student means giving students more than paper and pencil to make sense of their learning and show their understanding. Equipping my students with these digital cameras will empower them to connect what they are learning in the classroom to the world around them.
