Hello! My name is Ivelise Castillo, a 3rd grade special teacher at P.S.41X, The Gunhill Road School. P.S.41X is a title I school located in the Bronx. 99% of our school population receive free school meals. Our school includes Pre-k to 5th grade classrooms. About 11% of our population is English Language Learners while about 15% of our population has special needs. My classroom is comprised of 23 students with 12 of the students receiving special education services. It warms my heart to know that there are thoughtful people who consider the needs of others. To know that education is not on the back burner to everyone is an amazing reminder!
