My school is an inner city school in which most of the population will be the first in their family to attend college. This school year, I am teaching Algebra 2, SAT Prep and MCXX Algebra Foundations Course . These classes will continue the mathematical foundations needed to be successful in college and beyond. The students in the SAT Prep class have chosen to take an extra mathematics course in order to increase their SAT scores in the Spring. My students plan on attending college or the military when they graduate. They are in need of individualized, student centered math instruction that will focus on their mathematics skills so they can be more confident as they attend post secondary school. My MXCC Class is using My Open Math online support so technology is a necessity.
