While teaching environmental sciences some times it is hard for students to envision different biomes and ecosystems, and the organisms that live there. Even though my students come from a diverse background, children who grew up in the backcountry of Central and South America or the back streets of Camden or Trenton, NJ, cannot fully envision the beauty of the world around them. I want to use the TV and accessories to share a lifetime of traveling and the beauty of the world with these underprivileged and many times underserved students. With vision and understanding comes hope and intrigue, the spring of passion and the drive to be more than what socio-economics has left them to believe is there only future.
