I have Reading and Math Centers set up into 5 different groups, with all children on various levels. When students are not reading or doing math directly with myself or my aide, I would like them be on tablets, using websites to practice critical reading and math skills they are tested on in third grade. Our school has purchased licenses to several educational websites, but my children cannot access them on a daily basis because we do not have enough technology for every student to have a tablet or computer. I am passionate about learning, and believe that the only way low income students will bridge the "learning gap" is having access to technology that other children take for granted. When my students use tablets and computers, they are not only learning math and reading skills, but as ESL learners, this is a incredibly helpful way to differentiate among my students.
