Our district has the initiative to prepare students at all levels for the continuous technological advances of the modern workplace. In an effort to get students at the earlier levels to broaden their horizons and gain a knowledge of technical fields of study, it has elected to go into the Project Lead the Way curriculum direction. Beginners will take a Design and Modeling class and then they will be able to step up to Robotics and Automation. The robot, gearing and computer kits will help students learn basic fundamentals of robotics and automation. This curriculum offers not only math skills and science knowledge but also skills for the workplace. Some examples of the skills students are expected to gain through the curriculum are group projects, leadership skills, and conflict resolution. Thank you for any and all of your generous donations to help our class achieve success.
