Our elementary school is a nurturing community that welcomes the families of students to many programs designed to help parents help their children. We realize that it does take a village to raise a child, and we work together with families and the community to give these children a strong foundation. Because we know that learning to work cooperatively is not always easy for little ones, we are inviting parents of our youngest students to join us for a workshop entitled "The Best Me I Can Be." Teachers will run activities for the parents and students that will focus on strengthening behavioral skills. Students will learn rules about sharing, working together, listening, etc., in a fun, interactive, hands-on workshop that allows them to use their energy in a positive way. We hope this will ease the transition from home to school for these young learners!
