This donors choose project is a continuation of my last project (asking for 12 yoga balls to help students focus more on their learning). As I stated in the last project, my students are all ELLs, some of them refugees and all of them with high emotional needs. This makes it difficult for them to focus on their learning when they have so much else to worry about in their home and family life. By starting these flexible seating projects, I hope to make learning a little more fun and less challenging for them. Being able to move consistently without distracting others will help them focus on their schoolwork while fulfilling their physical/motor needs.
Some of you might be asking, "why do you need more seating choices when you already have 12 yoga balls and desks?"
The point of flexible seating is to give students options so that they can choose where they learn best. Some students might not work well on the yoga ball-it might be TOO much movement for them, or they might not be able to handle it. In these cases, it is extremely helpful to have a place to redirect those students to.
Thank you so much in advance for supporting my students! Remember-use the code "ripple" at checkout to have any donations up to $50 doubled by a very generous company!
