Teaching Pre-Kindergarten can be challenging at times, especially when trying to best meet the needs of every child. No two children learn in the same way. Some children learn best through visual representation and some through auditory learning, however, all children thrive through hands-on experiences. The pocket charts and pocket chart stand will assist by establishing a consistent space for storing hands-on manipulatives that the students use daily during whole and small group learning. The pocket charts will help visual learners to see and physically work with the concepts being learned as well as increasing students' oral vocabulary and concept of print. In my classroom, we practice our listening and speaking skills using visual representations of new concepts in order to further our knowledge on how to cope and become a part of the world around us.
