Students need opportunities to be creative with science and engineering. Snap Circuits provide an ideal way for them to explore energy and engineering in an engaging and safe way. Students will be able to explore alternative forms of energy by utilizing one of the expansion packs. My students are intrigued by ways we can use energy without harming the environment. There are hundreds of project ideas within each main kit, and the buildability beyond that is virtually limitless. They will relish the chance to use so much creativity and will become better scientists through their problem-solving experiences. Many of the students in my classroom find science to be the most meaningful part of the day in terms of their education--a statement based on essays they wrote last quarter about the most important things they have learned so far this year. Their eagerness to explore the world of STEM is contagious. I want to provide them with excellent ways to explore science. While they learn some science from what they read and see, they learn so much more from what they do and how they handle temporary failures from hands-on activities. These sets will help them in this endeavor and groups of students to come.
