These hand drums will allow the students at our school to explore hand drumming. We do not currently have enough hand drums at either school to be able to perform as a classroom set. This project will allow the students to perform a drum line style performance called an Orffestration. Students will compose their own rhythms, choose their instruments, and choreograph a routine to perform. I will record students performances and will place the videos on Bloomz, our social movie account. We will have the 4th graders at opposite schools judge the 5th graders and vice versa so we don't have a bias. Winners will be announced later in the school year and prizes will be determined.
