Students today are needing to be able to problem solve more on their own. By using the MakerSpace area, students will be able to learn how to collaborate with other students, create things to solve community or school issues, and learn a variety of everyday life skills such as sewing. By using the materials I have requested, the students will be able to apply skills learned in the classroom. All grade levels can benefit from the use of the MakerSpace area. Students will have daily access to the materials. Projects can either be ongoing and stored in a container or something more short term. Either way, the skills applied and enforced through this program will be life long lessons carried through to higher education or the work force.
